Carolyn Lee Barr

Miss Carolyn Barr, age 82, of Telford, passed away peacefully Friday January 31, 2025 with her family by her side. Most people referred to her as "Mamaw Barr".
She was born in Indiana, to the late Lonnie and Verna Armentrout Barr. She was also preceded in death by her sister Janice Laws and her precious great-granddaughter Magnolia "Maggie" Kent.

She was a faithful member of Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church and attended as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include one brother Jerry Barr of Delaware, a son and daughter-in-law Chad and Rebekah Barr, grandchildren, Dustin Barr( Savannah), Breanna Kent (Levi), Joe Garland (Laura Goodrich), and the light of her life, great-granddaughter, Mckenna Barr, all whom she loved dearly. And a host of nieces and nephews.

She also had three special friends, Janice Baines, Carolyn Legg, and Carlotta Dykes.

The family would like to express their heart felt thanks and gratitude to Mary and Ken Willis for opening their house up to her and helping care for and also to Caris Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to her.

She will forever be missed, but Heaven has gained another angel.

Graveside service will be Monday February 3, 2025 1:00 PM at Oakland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Dale Mitchell and Pastor Kenny Whaley officiating. Pallbearers will be Dustin Barr, Joe Garland, Levi Kent, Scotty Dykes, Jeff Aiken, and Eric Whaley. Family and Friends will meet at Jonesborough Funeral Home at 11:30 am to go in procession to the Cemetery.
