Claude Eulogy
Claude Daoust. It is with the deepest sorrow that I must announce the passing of my dear husband, best friend and soulmate forever. Claude was the love of my life. He was the best brother, brother-in-law, favorite uncle, and best friend to so many of us. I always felt deeply loved by him from the moment we met. He loved his family and mine with all his being, and if you were his friend you knew he would do anything he could to help you. He lived a life of creativity in both his wood working and electronics, and had a true talent of being able to troubleshoot just about any problem you may have. My life with Claude has never been boring. He could always make the most ordinary tasks in life fun. Love and Laughter with his own style of humor. My heart is so sad today there are no words. Love Always, Delaine
Obituary:
Claude Daoust passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 72.
He was born in Montreal, Canada, and spent his youth in St Sauveur, Quebec, enjoying nature and the beautiful Laurentien mountains, water skiing or canoeing on the lake at his family's chalet. He lived a life of creativity, studied mathematics, and engineering, earning a degree in electronics, but he always had a passion for fine woodworking, building early reproduction furniture, and designing custom pieces.
Claude was a true craftsman in everything he did. His legacy is left in all the amazing things he did for so many people.
He had a desire to see others succeed as well, and was proud to be a part of the Boone's Street Market project in Jonesborough, Tennessee, a year round farmers market, where he contributed his time and talents to their cause.
He will be remembered by so many as their best friend, who always had a warm smile, dry sense of humor, and would do anything he could to help them out. We will all miss his unconditional love and uncontrollable laughter; his unlimited skills and talents.
In addition to his parents, Paul and Cecile, he was preceded in death by his beloved younger brother Guy, who passed away at the age of 13, brother-in-law Serge Chalut, and sister-in-law Donita Carter.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years and best friend, Delaine Daoust, his dearest friend and sister, Nicole Daoust, his sweet niece and nephew Ysabelle and Sébastien. His family by marriage, sister-in-law, Dawn Fecher, brothers-in-law Duane Fecher and Stephen Carter. Nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Marie, Jessica, Christie, James, and Aaron.
He also leaves a multitude of friends from Canada, Tennessee, Florida, and points in between.
No funeral services will be held at his request. He would prefer you spend your time enjoying your life.
