Craig Eugene Treadway, 52, of Jonesborugh, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. Craig was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. He was a lead-man at Snap-On Tools in Elizabethton, where he worked for over eighteen years. Craig's main focus in life was his grandchildren, in his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Craig was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Helen Rash; paternal grandparents, Vestal and Frances Treadway; mother-in-law, Ruth Greer; aunts, Cathy Treadway and Sharon Chandler; and his step-grandmother, Mildred Broyles.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Elizabeth Treadway; mother, Jane Oaks (step-father, Ken); father, Vestal "Gene" Treadway (step-mother, Faye); children, Keith Smith, Cynthia Davis (Chris); grandchildren, Kaylee, Kayleigh, Zachery, Joseph, Addison, Tristan, and Collin; sister, Nicole Meyer (Steve); step-brothers, Aaron Hale, Neil Hale (Tina); nieces, Bethany and Amanda Tittle; nephew, Layne Tittle; best friend, Dale Condon; along with several cousins.
The Treadway family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Cherokee Baptist Church - 143 Mayberry Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659 from 1 PM -3 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating. Committal Service and Internment will follow the Funeral in Cherokee Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig's friends from Snap-On.
