Cyldie Joyce Carrol

Clydie "Joyce" Carroll, 62, of Greeneville, passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 11, 2025, at her home after a period of declining health. She was born to the late Homer and Evelyn (Sherfey) Holland. Joyce was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Joyce enjoyed dancing and taking care of people. She was like a mother to everyone, always willing to lend a helping hand in anyway she could.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Holland; nephew, Dewayne James; and cousin, B.J. Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Quillen; son, Jeremy Quillen; grandchildren, Bianca Quillen, Michael Melancon, Katelyn Quillen, Wyatt Quillen, Anna Brinegar, and Allison Brinegar; great-grandchildren, Asher and Noah Kay Melancon; sister, Sara James; brother, Billy Holland (Carolyn Cannon); special uncle, Bud Holland; very special friend, Jesse Jones; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family of Joyce Carroll will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 12 PM - 2 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Bob Simpson and Pastor Sparky Barnes officiating. Committal Service and Interment will follow the Funeral in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
