Joseph Bradley Williams, 64, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Ruby Leigh Williams and David Jerry Williams, Joseph lived a life marked by hard work, a passion for farming, and deep ties to his family and community.
Joseph leaves behind his cherished children: Katie (Robbie) Tinker and Bradley (Elizabeth) Williams. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Waylon and Conway, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his siblings: Debbie Williams, Larry (Amy) Williams, Steve (April) Williams, Susie Williams, Jerrie (Phillip) Garretson, Jenny (Kenneth) Silvers, and Chris Williams. He was preceded in death by his siblings Scott Williams, Greg Williams, and Timmy Williams. Joseph’s extended family included numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will remember him fondly. He also leaves a special friend, Tenna Drain.
A dedicated farmer at heart, Joseph found joy in tending to the land, a passion that complemented his tireless work ethic. For over 40 years, he was a valued employee at Hexpol Compounding, where he built lasting friendships with many special colleagues who became like family. His connection to the Washington County Farmers Co-op further rooted him in the community he loved. Known for his fun-loving spirit, generous nature, and unwavering loyalty, Joseph’s presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to those around him. His unexpected departure leaves a void, but his legacy of hard work and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 22, from 4-6 p.m. at Jonesborough Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at his favorite place, his farm.
