Kay Collins, 87, of Jonesborough, passed away on Saturday morning, November 9, 2024, at her home after a lengthy illness surrounded by her children. She was born to the late Cecil and Katherine (Jones) Wyrick in Knoxville. In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Collins. She was the former owner of Perma Ceram of East Tennessee. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her children, David E. Collins, Sonja Garland (Terry), Dean Collins (Kim); grandchildren, John Michael Harrigan (Kelly), Brian Harrigan, Seth Collins, and Madison Kay Collins (Kayti); great-grandchildren, Theo, Bellamy, and Noa Harrigan; one brother, Woody Wyrick.
The Collins family will honor Kay's life with a Graveside Service on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Mountain Home National Cemetery beginning at 1 PM with Pastor John H. Moore officiating. Everyone who wishes to attend the Graveside Service is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
