Lynn Allen Southerland

Lynn "Allen" Southerland, 71, of Jonesborough, passed away on Friday evening, November 29, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center after a short illness. He was born to the late James and Louise (Bennett) Southerland in Johnson City, TN.

Allen retired after over fifty years in the automotive industry. He enjoyed Nascar, The Beatles, and sports. Allen was a loving son, partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He never met a stranger and was truly one of a kind. Allen was a 1971 graduate of Happy Valley High School.

Survivors include his partner, Sabra Houston; children, Jeremy Southerland (Wendy), Robbie Southerland, Eric Southerland (Misty); grandchildren, Brooke Curtis (Daniel), Dalton Southerland (Sklyn), Lyllyan Southerland (Nate), Brandon Southerland, and Katlin Southerland; great-grandchildren, Wrenley Hartman, Cayson Southerland, Braelynn Southerland, and Jasper Southerland; along with his companion, his dog, Lexi.

The Southerland family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon, December 7, 2024, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 3 PM - 5 PM. A Memorial Service will follow the Visitation at 5 PM with Pastor Amy Holmes officiating.
