Martha Ferguson, 81, of Gray, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Gentry and Nancy (Light) Hamilton.
Martha was a member of Greenvale Missionary Baptist Church. She was a life-long resident of Washington County and retired from Crown Laboratories after many years of dedicated service.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Ferguson Sr.; sisters, Marjorie Elliot and Sylvia Bowser; brothers, R.C. Hamilton and Walker Hamilton; along with life-long friend, Gale Almany.
She is survived by her sons, Hal Ferguson Jr. and wife Julie, of Landrum, SC, Gentry Ferguson and wife Beth, of Gray, TN; grandchildren, Haiden, Ferguson, Eli Ferguson, Jimmy Schill, Caroline Hill and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Cash Hill, and Ivy Mae Hill; two family members that were like daughters to Martha, Cheyenne Gore and Beth Hall; special friend, Mark "Dooley" Ford; along with several nieces and nephews.
The Ferguson family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Greenvale Missionary Baptist Church - 1070 Gray Station Rd. Gray, TN 37615, from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will follow the Visitation at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Travis Shaffer and Rev. Darin Harrison officiating. Committal Service and Interment will be Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Garden of the Sermon on the Mount in Monte Vista Memorial Park beginning at 10:00 A.M. Eli Ferguson, Jeremy Sanders, Greg Hamilton, Richard Hamilton, Aaron Hamilton, Steve Hamilton, Eddie Good, and Randy Rogers will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne and Roger Almany. Everyone who plans to attend the Committal Service is asked to meet at the cemetery on Monday morning, by 9:50 A.M.
