Miss Sherry Jean Payne, age 69, Jonesborough passed away at her residence Tuesday, December 10, 2024, with her family by her side.
She was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Henry William and Barbara Jean Taylor Payne. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Billy Ray Brackins.
Sherry was a member of the Limestone Church of Christ. She loved singing to her Lord, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and loved life itself.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Donna Payne; sister, Kathy Brackins, and Karen Sparks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Sherry will be Friday, December 13, 2024, 2:00 PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home with Ministers Travis Sansom and Tony Hoss officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Graveside Service will follow at Limestone Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derek Payne, Matthew Payne, Adam Brackins, Aaron Brackins Dustin Walters, and Joe Taylor.
The family would like say Thank You to Ballad Hospice and a special Thank You to Sherry's nurses Sarah Beth and Angie for the loving care.
