Theodora Lynn Malone

Theodora Lynn Byrd Malone, 78, of Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, December 2, 2024, at the Waters of Johnson City. She was born to the late Theodore and Zella (Buchanan) Byrd in Bakersville, NC. Theodora was a member of First Church of God in Johnson City. She had a Associates Degree in Accounting and retired from Watauga Regional Library. Theodora loved her horses, Doc and Jimmy; dogs, Parkey and Buddy; and her donkeys, Bill, Angel, and Baby.

In addition to her parents, Theodora was preceded in death by her husband, Don Malone; brothers, Howard and George Byrd; sisters, Alice Byrd Garland, and Nell Byrd Coleman.

She is survived by her step-children, Becky Carr (Jerry), Donna Malone (Kathy), Pastor Keith Malone (Mitzi), Jama Curtis (Tony); grandchildren, Autumn Walsh, Coty Malone, Taylor Jules, Hunter Curtis, and Tyler Curtis; great-grandchildren, Micah Carr, Caeden Malone, and Krosby Jules; and brother, Bradley Byrd (Patsy).

The Malone family will honor Theodora's life with a Memorial Service on Saturday morning, December 7, 2024, at First Church of God - 801 W. Watauga Ave. Johnson City, TN 37604, beginning at 10 AM with Pastor Keith Malone and Pastor Ron McEwen officiating.
